Kickin’ it with Maccrew

A shift in local sneaker culture took shape three years ago and today chances are good that you’ve come across the work of Allen Choi, founder of Maccrew, the Macao company creating custom sneakers.

The worlds of American hip-hop, basketball, pop culture, and customised fashion come together in sneaker culture, and Maccrew’s Taipa Village “experience store” is the embodiment of that. Maccrew’s designers disassemble each pair of sneakers, reconstructing them into endless creative options, laser engravings, different textiles, hand painting – the sky’s the limit when it comes to expressing yourself on your sneakers.

And according to Choi, that’s exactly the point. “That’s the future of fashion, authenticity and individuality.”
